CLEVELAND — A local organization has opened registration for its Sickle Cell Disease Walk-a-Thon.

The Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Walk, Health and Resource Fair will be held Saturday, September 6, at East Technical High School located at 2439 East 55th Street.

On-site registration begins at 9:15 a.m., and walking will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Kincaid’s Kindred Spirits Inc.’s Sickle Cell Anemia Support & Youth Mentoring Group is hosting the sixth annual walk-a-thon, which is held in conjunction with the fair.

Walk-a-thon registration is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $10 each.
