TWINSBURG, Ohio — Mix 650 second and third graders with a heavy dose of hands-on science learning over a 48 hour period and it adds up to a fun fest for all involved.
The Science Fun Fest at Bissell Elementary School in Twinsburg will wrap up on Friday afternoon. The two day event has parents, schools leaders and community partner banding together to promote science learning.
Teachers and parents plan over twenty hands-on science experiments that the students are allowed to try and explore. Over 100 parents and members of the Twinsburg business community run the experiment stations as well as provide support for the event.
The event is held to help encourage students to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) opportunities.
The event runs from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the gym of Bissell Elementary School located at 1811 Glenwood Drive, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
