KENT, Ohio – Kent State University (KSU) will host the second annual Black Squirrel 5K on Saturday, April 14 at 8:00 a.m.  The race, which is named after KSU’s unofficial mascot, begins and ends in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, 1550 Ted Boyd Drive.

After the race which loops through the Kent State campus, runners will be treated to a free breakfast buffet and awards ceremony.  Money will be awarded to the top three runners, and awards will be given to winners within each age group.

Regular registration is available through Monday, April 9, for $25.  After that, registration is $30 per person. The first 500 to register will receive a free t-shirt.
