KIRTLAND, Ohio – Lake Metroparks invites you to discover the wonders of nature at night during Glow-a-Palooza on Saturday, August 11 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight at Penitentiary Glen Reservation, 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland.

You’re encouraged to wear glow in the dark or light up clothing as you participate in the educational and hands on activities, both indoors and out.

Activities include:

  • Indoor StarLab planetarium
  • Glow necklaces for all
  • “Catch a Falling Star” photo keepsake activity
  • Miniature train rides
  • Backyard astronomy and stargazing with telescopes
  • Watch the Perseid Meteor Shower
  • Live nighttime wild animal shows
  • Crafts, contests, music and more

 
The cost is $4 per person for everyone ages 2 and older.  Advance registration is required. Call (440) 358-7275 or 800-669-9226 to register.
