MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Cleveland Furniture Bank is kicking off a month-long grand opening celebration Saturday.

Cleveland Furniture Bank is hosting a ribbon cutting at its new location on August 10, at 9 a.m. at the Southland Shopping Center in Middleburg Heights.

The bank receives home donations which are given to northeast Ohioans in need of basic furnishings. Also at the 59,000 square foot location is a retail thrift store, and all sales proceeds benefit the Furniture Bank.

The first 50 attendees to visit the store’s grand opening will receive a $10 gift certificate to the thrift store. The grand opening also includes food, games, raffles and special sales throughout the day.

Operating since 2006, the Cleveland Furniture Bank is a referral-only organization serving more than 3,000 individuals and their families yearly.
