It’s a fun ladies night out which can improve your health and quality of life.  Summa Akron City Hospital will host a FREE Go Red for Women community education event on Thursday, February 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Doctors will share heart-healthy tips.  Attendees will learn CPR techniques and receive a free, take-home CPR Anywhere Kit™ from the American Heart Association.

“We want women who attend the event to learn something they didn’t know about their hearts and gain usable knowledge that they can share with friends and family,” Dr. Cynthia Pordon said. “It is important to remind women, who are culturally often caregivers for the family, that they need to take care of themselves as well.”

The event will take place in the Idabelle Firestone Auditorium in the Professional Center South Building on 55 Arch Street in Akron. Parking and admission are free but space is limited so you must register in advance.  Call Summa Connections at 888-720-5318 to reserve a seat.
