Third grade students at St. Mary School in Elyria are taking part in Main Street Elyria’s 22nd Annual Festival of Lights, scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.  They have been working on luminaries made from gallon milk jugs, painted with holiday designs.   The luminaries will help light up Ely Square for the official kick-off of Elyria’s holiday festivities.  Attendees will also enjoy hot chocolate, carolers and Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Children will receive goodie bags.  Other area students, preschool to third grade, also created luminaries for the event.
