AKRON, Ohio — Akron ZooCamp is offering several summer programs for kids beginning in June.

The Akron Zoo has 27 ZooCamp programs for children ages 2 to 15, and will run in one-day, three-day or five-day morning or afternoon sessions. The sessions will feature brand new exhibits at the zoo, including the Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge Exhibit and several returning exhibits.

Early education camps ages 2 to 5 will include a tour of The Akron Zoo, t-shirts, snacks and more. A caregiver is required to accompany children in each camp, and each camper has a choice of the following programs: Wet N’ Wild, Z is for Zookeeper, Animal Builders, Cool Cats and Bear Necessities.

Kids ages 5 to 15 will also get a tour of The Akron Zoo, a chance to see animals up close and their choice of the following three or five-day programs: Rockin’ Reef, Great Grizzlies, Animal Olympics, Zoo Vet, Working at the Zoo, Predators of Grizzly Ridge and more.

Registration is required to participate in ZooCamps, and each camp is limited to 15 campers. Early childhood camps are $30 per child for Akron Zoo members and $35 per child for non-members. Three-day camps are $65 for Akron Zoo members and $70 for non-members. Five-day camp registration is $95 for Akron Zoo members and $100 for non-members. Camps for 13 to 15 year olds are $115 for Akron Zoo Members and $135 for non-members. The full day camps for 7 to 14 year olds are $160 per child for Akron Zoo members and $180 for non-members.
