SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio — All high school student athletes in need of a physical to participate in their sport are invited to receive a free physical.

The 5th annual Sports Physical Event is open to all athletes in Ohio and will be held on Friday, June 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Center for Orthopedics, located at 5001 Transportation Drive. Local doctors and other medical professionals donate their time to perform the physicals.

Last year, more than 700 student athletes from 25 high schools received a free physical.

To participate, students must print an Ohio High School Athletic Association physical form from their school’s website and bring it to the event. Students should also bring medical history forms signed by a parent or guardian.

The deadline place a physical reservation is Monday, June 3. Students can call (440) 329-2860 to reserve a spot.

Each student who receives a physical will be given a free goody bag.
