  • Harley Dilly remembered: Port Clinton comes together to mourn teen

    PORT CLINTON, Ohio (WJW) – Nearly one month after 14-year-old Harley Dilly disappeared, the Port Clinton community will come together to honor his life. Harley was never seen alive after he left for school Friday, December 20. After weeks of searching, his body was found in the chimney of a home across the street from his family’s house.   • South Carolina lawmakers vote to stop rolling back the clocks

    COLUMBIA, South Carolina (WJW) – South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has not indicated whether he’ll sign it, but lawmakers there have sent him a bill to stay on Daylight Saving Time year-round. If the bill is signed into law, people in South Carolina will no longer set their clocks back in the fall. Even though the South Carolina General Assembly voted in favor of the bill, Congress would have to give the state permission to stay on Daylight Saving Time.

  • Cleveland Bishop Nelson Perez introduced as next archbishop of Philadelphia Archdiocese

    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – The Archdiocese of Philadelphia introduced Bishop Nelson Perez as its new archbishop on Thursday. Perez was installed in Cleveland in 2017. Philadelphia’s current archbishop, Archbishop Charles Chaput, is retiring. In a statement, Archbishop Chaput said he “cannot think of a better successor to lead” the Archdiocese. CANTON, Ohio (WJW) – A Massillon man charged with shooting his dog in the face was arraigned Thursday morning in Canton Municipal Court.   • North Olmsted police say I-480 has reopened following crash that shut down eastbound lanes

    NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WJW) – North Olmsted police say I-480 east has reopened following a four-car crash. It happened just past Stearns Road. All four lanes of I-480 east were blocked for more than an hour. Police say there were two separate car accidents at the same time. One of the accidents involved a rollover. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

    Garfield Heights police capture two teens accused in bank robbery

    GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – Garfield Heights police say they’ve captured two suspects behind a bank robbery. Police say two armed men held up the U.S. Bank on Turney Rd just after noon. Officers spotted their getaway vehicle, according to police. Police say the officers pursued the car until it stopped and the two suspects got out and started running.
