  • Former Cleveland Police Chief Ed Kovacic dies at 88-years-old

    CLEVELAND — Local law enforcement agencies are mourning the loss of former Cleveland Police Chief Edward Kovacic who passed away Sunday. Kovacic first joined the force in 1959 and spent nearly 40 years with the Division of Police. Kovacic’s nephew shared this photo from the day Ed was sworn in with FOX 8.  Ed stands alongside his father, former Cleveland Councilman John Kovacic.   • Cavs sign free agent Okaro White to 10-day contract

    CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed free agent Okaro White to a 10-day contract the team announced Sunday. White played at Florida State University.  After college, he played professionally in both Italy and Greece, where he was named 2016’s “Most Spectacular Player” in the Greek league.     CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have reportedly agreed to terms with three free agents on Tuesday, league sources tell ESPN. The reported deals are as follows: Offensive Tackle Chris Hubbard from the Pittsburgh Steelers — $37.5 million for five years. He was a backup OT and Guard with the Steelers.     CANTON – Two years after Kirtland rallied from a two touchdown deficit to stun Maria Stein Marion Local in the 2015 Division VI State Championship Game, the Hornets could not mount another comeback against the Flyers on Saturday.
