Melissa is back home!

You can see her weekdays on FOX 8 News at 4 p.m. & 7 p.m.

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Melissa is so excited to be returning to FOX 8! She started her career at WTAP-TV in Parkersburg, WV before taking her second step to WYTV ABC 33 in Youngstown . After three years at WYTV, she made her debut on FOX 8 News in the Morning in November of 2006. In late 2009, she decided to spread her wings and fly hundreds of miles east. For the past few years, she was the Morning and Noon Meteorologist for WBZ-TV CBS 4 in Boston. While she embraced and enjoyed her New England experiences along the East Coast, she decided that home is where her heart is! She can’t wait to share some of her experiences (i.e. Lobster Tail Pastries are ‘wicked’ delicious!) So, here she is! She’s back home and back at Cleveland’s Own FOX 8!

Melissa attended Youngstown State University for her Telecommunications degree, as well as Mississippi State University to obtain her Broadcast Meteorology Certification. She also holds the AMS Seal of Approval.

Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, sampling area restaurants (any ideas?), cheering on the Browns, the Cavs, and the Indians, running, and re-energizing with a caffeine-fix from one of her many favorite coffee shops. She says, “Please say ‘hola’ if you see me out and about!”
