Darcie Loreno is a Digital Content Producer at Fox 8 News in Cleveland.

She started her career in print journalism, reporting at a newspaper in Erie, Pa., before moving to Ohio and working at publications in Ashland and Warren, where she earned several awards for breaking news and investigative journalism.

She entered the world of TV News as an online news manager at WKBN in Youngstown, making its website Murrow-award winning and No. 1 in the region.

In 2012, she joined Fox 8 News as an associate producer and was soon promoted to producer, where she produced every newscast at the station at the time. In 2014, she became digital content producer.

Darcie studied English, journalism and psychology at Gannon University in Erie and graduated in 2003.

Darcie has spent years volunteering in animal rescue, and currently serves on the board for the Friends of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

    LAKE COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — A sweet, blind dog named Barklee, who had a pretty rough start at life, has finally found a home after spending 1,406 days living in shelters across Ohio.   • Authorities issue Endangered Missing Adult Alert for Ohio man

    SPRINGDALE, Ohio (WJW) — A statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a man missing from his home in Springdale, Ohio. According to the alert, Roy Funderburg, 84, left his home on Cedarhill Drive in Hamilton County at around 12 a.m. on Nov. 27. He suffers from dementia, COPD and high blood pressure.     CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) — Fox 8 and Amanda Berry are working together to find the missing. Heidy Espinoza, 17, was last seen Nov. 8 in Cleveland. Heidy is 5′ tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She has a nose piercing, and both her ears are also pierced. She was last seen wearing black pants and a gray shirt. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff is handling the case.
