Darcie Loreno is a Digital Content Producer at Fox 8 News in Cleveland.

She started her career in print journalism, reporting at a newspaper in Erie, Pa., before moving to Ohio and working at publications in Ashland and Warren, where she earned several awards for breaking news and investigative journalism.

She entered the world of TV News as an online news manager at WKBN in Youngstown, making its website Murrow-award winning and No. 1 in the region.

In 2012, she joined Fox 8 News as an associate producer and was soon promoted to producer, where she produced every newscast at the station at the time. In 2014, she became digital content producer.

Darcie studied English, journalism and psychology at Gannon University in Erie and graduated in 2003.

Darcie has spent years volunteering in animal rescue, and currently serves on the board for the Friends of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

  • 12-year-old girl who went missing after leaving bus stop found safe

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police located a missing 12-year-old girl. Jeleah Hickman left her bus stop Wednesday afternoon with a group of friends. She was last seen crying at the West Park Rapid Station because she didn’t have money for the bus. She was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt and tan khaki pants. The Cleveland Division of Police said she was found in good health on Thursday.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — Fifty employers will be ready to hire at a job fair for military members at FirstEnergy Stadium Thursday.     FOX 8 and Amanda Berry are working together to find the missing. Jerome Robinson, 15, was last seen June 27 in Akron. Jerome is in foster care and was last staying at Safe Landing Youth Shelter. He left without permission and never returned. He was last seen wearing a long, white T-shirt and gray jeans.     CLEVELAND — It’s almost time for the very first Cleveland Pickle Festival! There will be pickle pizza, pickle ice cream, regular pickles. And yes — even pickle beer!
