Jazmin Bailey

Jazmin Bailey is glad to be home! She grew up on Cleveland’s west side and joined FOX 8 as a weekend morning anchor/reporter in March of 2021.

Jazmin is an Emmy Award-winning anchor who, most recently, spent seven years in Orlando, Florida. While there, she covered some of the nation’s biggest breaking news, including the Pulse Nightclub shooting, a deadly gator attack at Walt Disney World, and several major hurricanes. She was also instrumental in creating the “Project Community: Crusade For Change” series, which focused on the history and effects of racial inequality in Central Florida.

Jazmin got her start reporting daily news on the student-run “Announcement Crew” at Cleveland’s Saint Joseph Academy. She is also a proud St. Edward High School Cheer Team alum! Jazmin graduated from Michigan State University’s School of Journalism, but promises her disdain for “That School Up North” is strong!

After more than a decade in TV, Jazmin now takes her storytelling outside of the newsroom. She is a domestic violence survivor and, in 2018, she published her first book, The Woman With The Oil. Today, Jazmin uses the memoir to educate the community about the cycle of abuse and hopefully prevent others from experiencing intimate partner violence.
