    CLEVELAND — After several rain delays, the Tribe game against the Devil Rays came to an end just before 3 a.m. on Saturday.  The Indians only managed one hit, and lost the game 9-2. The two teams battle again on Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. The teams are not scheduled to play each other again this season. Shortly after the game, Tampa Bay’s Evan Longoria went on Twitter to thank the few thousand fans who made it through all the delays.

    MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two people died in a rollover crash in Lake County, according to the Madison Township Police Department. The accident happened at the intersection of Griswald Road and South Madison road late Saturday night.  The victims were driving a maroon Honda, according to police.     CONCORD, North Carolina —- For the second straight year, Jimmy Johnson won the checkered flag at the Sprint All-Star race.  He also becomes the first driver to win four All-Star races. Johnson edged out teammate Kasey Kahne on the final restart to collect the $ 1 million winner’s prize. Next race:  The Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 26th.

  • Genius Hawking Joins Boycott of Israel

    JERUSALEM — According to several reports, Professor Stephen Hawking is not taking part in a president’s conference hosted by Israeli president Shimon Peres. According to NPR reporter Krishnadev Calamur, Hawking is withdrawing from the conference in Israel to protest that country’s treatment of Palestinians.
