The shooting happened at The Deli at West 74th Street and Franklin Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. One person was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in an unknown condition.     COLUMBUS — The Amber Alert issued for a boy out of Columbus, Ohio has been canceled. Jorvaughn Paul Porter, 4, was last seen at the 300 block of Front Street.     BRUNSWICK, Ohio — A gas leak shut down a portion of Center Road in Brunswick, Ohio early Tuesday morning. The road has since been reopened. Construction crews ruptured a gas line shortly before 3 a.m.

  • Elderly man missing in Brook Park found

    BROOK PARK, Ohio — The missing adult alert issued for an elderly man in Brook Park has been canceled. Joseph Thomas Moss, 73, has been found safe. Police say Moss was last seen August 12 at 2 p.m. prior to leaving his residence on Sandhurst Drive.

    LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Authorities have cancelled the Amber Alert for a 7-year-old boy. James P. Gibson, Jr., was found early this morning at a hotel in Lorain County.     CLEVELAND — A 22-year-old man was the victim of a fatal shooting during a home invasion on the city’s east side. At about 2 a.m. on Monday, three men their way into an apartment at 932 Wheelock Rd. and then shot the man inside the unit, police said.     CLEVELAND — The police are investigating the shooting death of a 36-year-old man. The shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday at West 73rd Street and Lorain Avenue. When police arrived, they found the man with several gunshot wounds to his torso. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and later died.

  • Driver shot, killed during pizza delivery

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — A pizza driver was fatally shot while making a delivery on the city’s west side early Thursday morning. The shooting happened shortly after 12 a.m. near West 58th Street and Bridge Avenue. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Michael Prock, died while attempting to escape the scene. He worked at Nunzio’s Pizzeria on Lorain Avenue. Cleveland police are investigating the shooting and say there are no suspects at this time.

  • Two children injured in overnight house fire

    CLEVELAND — An overnight house fire on the city’s east side sent two children to the hospital Wednesday. The fire broke out at the 700 block of East 93rd Street shortly after 1 a.m. A 10-year-old boy was transported in critical condition to MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as and an 8-year-old girl in serious condition. A third person was also transported. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
