  • Cleveland Police investigating body found on west side

    CLEVELAND – Cleveland police were called to a west side area on Sunday afternoon after a body was discovered. The call  came in just after 3:30 p.m. When police arrived on scene at West 30th and Train Avenue, they found the body of a 30-year-old male. They are calling this a possible homicide, and called in the homicide investigators. No other details were released. Fox 8 and Fox8.com will have the updates as they become available.

    CLEVELAND – Cleveland police are looking for the suspect in an overnight shooting that killed one person and injured another. The two were shot in the 6200 block of Superior at around 2:20 a.m. A 53-year-old female told police that she and a 25-year-old man were sitting on the porch of a home when a man ran past the house.   • Boat at Edgewater Yacht Club catches fire, sinks

    CLEVELAND – Cleveland fire crews were called out to Edgewater Yacht Club Saturday evening when a 27-foot sailing there caught on  fire. The Fire Boat Anthony J Celebrezze, along with Cleveland Engine Company 21, assisted in putting the fire out. The Coast Guard was called in  to help establish a safety zone around the area while fire crews worked.     EASTLAKE, Ohio – A former employee at the Walmart store on Vine Street in Eastlake has admitted to starting a fire at the store Saturday afternoon.   • 9-year-old child shot and killed on city’s southeast side

      CLEVELAND – A 9-year-old girl was shot and killed on the southeast side of Cleveland Wednesday evening. Police tell Fox 8 that the shooting was in the area of Lee Road and Harvard Avenue. The girl was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Bystanders tell our crews that this was some sort of a drive-by shooting and that 2 people were hit with bullets.
