  • Lawsuit filed after group claims racial disrespect at local Bahama Breeze

    ORANGE VILLAGE, Ohio – A lawsuit is being filed  against the Bahama Breeze restaurant in Orange Village. The suit alleges claims for “race discrimination in public accommodations, and civil liability for the crime of making false alarms.” The suit was announced Monday by Chandra Law Firm on behalf of a group of women who are the plaintiffs in the incident.   • Child struck by car in Brook Park passes away

    BROOK PARK, Ohio — A  child who was struck by a vehicle Saturday in Brook Park has passed away from her injuries. Police say the vehicle exited the Mary Queen of Apostles parking lot, crossed Engle Road and then entered a private drive, striking the 8-year-old girl. The child was transported to Southwest Hospital, where she died just after 7:30 p.m. Police have identified all of the parties involved and are not looking for any other vehicles.   • Woman injured in 2017 Ohio State Fair ride accident passes away

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – One of the victims injured in the ride accident at the 2017 Ohio State Fair has passed away. 18-year-old Jennifer Lambert died Friday, according to her family’s attorney. Jennifer had been in a long-term care facility in Geneva since then. She was injured when one of the six gondolas on the Fire Ball ride at the fair broke loose. 18-year-old Tyler Jarrell was killed in the accident. Seven others, including Jennifer, were hurt.   • Two Iceland air carriers stop flights from Cleveland during winter

    CLEVELAND — Two Icelandic air carriers have cancelled their winter flights from Cleveland. Icelandair’s service between Cleveland and Iceland will end Oct. 31 and start again on Mar. 22. Wow Air is suspending service from Cleveland in late October.     CLEVELAND –  Cleveland police have released more details on a Tuesday evening shooting that left one dead and one injured. Two people were shot on East 121st Street at 7:22 p.m. The victims were sitting in a car when another car pulled up. The suspect, Walter Jackson, 20, walked over to the victims’ car an opened the doors. Gunshots were exchanged, and Jackson’s car sped away from the scene.   • Akron to open cooling centers as heat wave continues

    AKRON, Ohio – With temperatures and humidity levels soaring Tuesday and Wednesday, the City of Akron is opening four cooling centers. Each of the cooling centers is located at a community center.
