Euclid High School closed Tuesday following threat

EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) - Euclid High School will be closed Tuesday as a precaution due to a threat at the high school.

The district issued the alert just before 6 a.m.

Only the high school will be closed.

The school reports the matter is under investigation.

Christopher Papouras, the Interim Superintendent of Euclid City Schools says a threat of violence was made against the school Monday on school property.

When they were unable to rule out the threat they decided to close the school.

Euclid City Schools is asking families and students to report anything suspicious.

Euclid City Schools security is working with Euclid PD in the investigation.
