NYC school officials pushing ban on chocolate milk

NEW YORK CITY — The New York City Department of Education is considering a ban on chocolate milk.

Fox 59 reports the reason is because of health concerns like sugar content. Officials are pushing for a white-milk-only policy.

Dairy farmers argued the schools would just be lowering the kids’ milk intake.

Chocolate milk is already banned from cafeterias in major cities like San Francisco and Washington D.C.
