CLEVELAND-- An incident at a construction site caused a power outage in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood on Tuesday.

Scaffolding fell onto a forklift next to a construction vehicle at West 5th Street and Jefferson Avenue, Cleveland fire officials said. It cut power lines.

About 1,600 FirstEnergy customers lost power. A spokesman for the company said service has been restored to several hundreds, but it could be a couple hours before the lights are back on for everyone.

No injuries were reported.
