You have to be 21 to buy tobacco at Walmart starting today

Walmart has changed the minimum age to buy tobacco products to 21.

Walmart made the announcement in May.

The company is also no longer selling sweet-flavored e-cigarettes.

In March, the FDA warned several retailers, including Walmart, Kroger and Walgreens, they were violating rules against selling tobacco products to minors.

Walgreens is changing its legal age to purchase tobacco to 21 in September.
