Cleveland firefighters investigating ‘suspicious’ house fire on east side

CLEVELAND — Cleveland firefighters believe a house fire on the city’s east side could be suspicious.

According to a city official, crews responded to the two story house on Gruss Avenue around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

It took about 30 minutes to get under control.

No one was home at the time, and there was about $50,000 in damages.

The cause remains under investigation.
