CLEVELAND, Ohio - A 6-year-old boy is in critical condition at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital after police say he was hit by a car.

It happened around 9:15 Wednesday morning in the 10800 block of Hulda Avenue, according to an EMS supervisor.

The boy's aunt tells FOX 8 News she was watching him cross the street when she noticed a car coming. She yelled for the driver and the boy to stop but they didn't hear her and the little boy was hit and dragged under the car.

Eventually, the driver did stop and police were called to the scene to investigate.

The child's aunt says her nephew was conscious but had serious injuries.  As of Wednesday afternoon, the boy was still in critical condition.
