Man critically hurt after being hit by train in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio - An investigation is underway into an accident involving a train in Cleveland.

According to Cleveland police, a man was hit by a train at Clinton Road and West Boulevard.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The man was critically hurt.

According to a police report, the man had injuries to his head and torso.

Police say he told them he had done heroin earlier in the evening and that he didn't know what happened.

The train conductor told police he was laying on the tracks and picked his head up right before the train hit him.

The conductor says they stopped the train and called 911.
