24-year-old man shot and killed on Cleveland’s east side; police searching for suspect

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed on the city’s east side.

According to police, officers responded to shots fired at CMHA housing on Quincy Avenue around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. There, they met with residents who said they heard shots fired downstairs. CHMA officers then assisted in opening the door to the apartment.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Officers learned during the investigation that witnesses saw a man go inside the apartment and then leave with a woman.

No suspects have been identified as this time.
