General Motors begins cutting more than 4,000 jobs

DETROIT, Michigan – General Motors confirms it has begun cutting 4,000 salaried jobs.

The company announced in November it was shrinking it is ending production at five North American plants and eliminating about 15% of the company’s salaried workers.

This round of cuts will take place over the next few weeks.

GM reports its 2018 full year and fourth-quarter earnings Wednesday.
