Police investigate Shaker Heights carjacking that ended in crash in Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police are investigating a Sunday afternoon carjacking in Shaker Heights.

Shaker Heights police  police say officers responded to the 3000 block of Van Aken Boulevard around 4:15 p.m.

They say a woman reported that two men approached the outside her vehicle.  She reportedly told police that one of the men was armed with a gun and both demanded her keys and vehicle.

Police say the woman gave the man the requested items and she was not injured.

According to police, Cleveland Heights officers located the vehicle in their city after a crash.

Shaker Heights Police told FOX 8 that one of the suspects, a juvenile, is in custody.

There are no reported injuries at this time.
