SWAT situation ended after alleged home invasion on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Police said the SWAT situation on Cleveland’s east side has ended.

Police and the SWAT Team were investigating a barricade situation involving an armed suspect.

Officials initially received reports of a home invasion on the 17500 block on Talford Avenue around 8:30 Saturday night, according to police.

Police said the victim was out of the home and safe, however they had believed the suspect was armed and inside the residence.

Around 11 p.m., police told Fox 8 that the SWAT call-up had ended and the scene was secure.  Police said the suspect was not on scene.
