Rape suspect taken into custody after standoff with Cleveland police

CLEVELAND -  Cleveland police spent part of Wednesday morning on East 128th and Shaw Roads after a suspect barricaded himself inside of a home.

The suspect, who was wanted in a rape incident, locked himself in the home as police blocked off the area and nearby streets.

Eventually, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Police say they are continuing their investigation into the rape case as well as Wednesday's standoff.
