CLEVELAND, Ohio -- One person died after their car flew off an overpass onto Interstate 490 west Monday night.
According to Cleveland police, it happened at just before midnight.
A 41-year-old man was heading south on Broadway Avenue in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. When he passed Rockefeller Avenue, the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit the west curb.
The vehicle became airborne and went through the chain link fence, flipping and landing around 30 feet below on its roof.
The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder and lane of Interstate 490.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
