MEDINA — Nearly 1,500 people were without power in Medina County Sunday morning after storms breezed through Northeast Ohio overnight.

Additionally, more than 1,600 customers in Summit County were in the dark for several hours today.

There was no immediate estimate on when the restoration process would be complete, but a map on FirstEnergy’s website indicated that the outage number had been significantly reduced as of 11 a.m.
