CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Division of Police released new information in the death of an 88-year-old woman.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 88-year-old Bruna Talani. A cause of death has not been released however police say "violence" is suspected.

"You know she always treated us like she was our grandmother," said neighbor Chenelle Scott. "...She was a very nice lady. She was a diva she never left the house without her makeup."

Officers were called to a home on Vineyard Avenue near Warner Road for a wellness check Saturday. They found the front door unlocked and the victim on the first floor who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim had not been seen since Dec. 9. However several neighbors say they saw Talani late last week.

"I'm still taken aback because I didn't hear anything," said Scott. "You know you want to be there for the old people, the senior citizens that is next door to you where you know you're watching them you're keeping an eye on them and then this happens."

The case is being investigated as a homicide.
