LAKE COUNTY, Ohio -- The Department of Public Safety is asking drivers to be very careful out in Lake County tonight.

Interstate 90 from Mentor to Madison is experiencing major delays.

Heavy snow squalls have reduced visibility and the entire interstate is heavily snow-covered.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office says there is a jackknifed semi on I-90 westbound just west of Route 44. It is blocking both lanes. Crews are responding to remove it.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and ODOT are working around the clock to keep the interstate passable and assist any stranded drivers.

The Department of Public Safety activated signs earlier this evening to alert drivers.

You're asked to avoid travel, if possible.
