NEW YORK– LeBron James wasn’t the only Cleveland athlete honored by Sports Illustrated Monday night.

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor was given the Symetra Rising Star award during the ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York. Recently-retired Red Sox legend David Ortiz presented him with the award and the pair joked about passing the torch.

There were several other sports legends at the awards, including Jim Brown and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James was named sportsperson of the year and Michael Phelps was celebrated as the greatest Olympian of all time.

Last month, Lindor, 23, won the American League Gold Glove for shortstop.
