Five arrested in Westlake prostitution operation

WESTLAKE, Ohio-- Police arrested five people in a prostitution operation at a Westlake motel on Wednesday.

Westlake police said the suspects were contacted through ads on and negotiated a price for sexual acts.

None of those were involved against their will, according to police. They were will participants.

The following were taken into custody and charged:

-Amelia Brummitt, 24, of Cleveland, soliciting, drug abuse and resisting arrest
-Deandria Harris, 21, of Cleveland, obstructing official business
-Dyanna McCully, 18, of Cleveland, obstructing official business
-Robert Watson, 55, of Cleveland, promoting prostitution
-Mariah Williams, 21, of Painesville, soliciting

Three women and a man were released at the scene. They will receive a summons in the mail.

It was part of an investigation by the Westlake Police Department, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office, the Department of Homeland Security, the Westshore Enforcement and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
