CLEVELAND, Ohio — The NFL says Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jordan Payton has been suspended without pay for the team’s next four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

They said Payton’s suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to return to the Browns’ active roster on Monday, January 2, following the team’s January 1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers — which is the Browns last game of the season.

The 0-12 Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
