Suspect threatens to shoot teller during Cleveland bank robbery

CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Division of the FBI is asking for information in a bank robbery that happened Wednesday morning in Cleveland’s University Circle area.

Two suspects held up the Huntington Bank on Mayfield Road at about 9:17 a.m. The FBI said the one man demanded money from the teller and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t comply.

Witnesses didn’t see a weapon, but he may have had a gun in his jacket.

One suspect was wearing a shoulder-length wig with a dark stocking cap, glasses and gloves, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information on the bank robbery should call the Cleveland Division of the FBI or the Cleveland Division of Police. Tips can remain anonymous and reward money is available.
