CLEVELAND-- There was an extra special homecoming at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Thanksgiving.

FOX 8 reporter Dave Nethers and his wife Cindy welcomed home their son on Thursday. Matthew is serving in the Army and hasn't been in Northeast Ohio since June.

We were there when he got off the plane and rushed into his father's arms.

"I was walking off the plane and I felt like I was going to cry. I haven't yet. I'm going to, but I haven't," Matthew said.

"I'm just overjoyed that he's home," Cindy said. "It's been a long time."

The always stoic, seasoned reporter, Dave Nethers was short on words.
