CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio– The Cleveland Heights Police Department is asking for information to help solve a hit-and-run that injured a 10-year-old boy.

It happened at about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday on Lee Road, just a few blocks south of Cedar Road. The victim and his 12-year-old brother were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when the younger boy was hit, police said.

The car, described as an older-model, dark red Chrysler PT Cruiser, did not stop and went westbound on Essex Road. Police said the vehicle may be missing the front driver’s side hubcap. It will likely have some front-end damage.

The 10-year-old suffered injuries to his head and legs. He was taken to an area hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Anyone with information on the driver or vehicle is urged to call the Cleveland Heights Police Department at 216-321-1234 or the tip line at 216-291-5010. Calls can remain anonymous.
