CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The Ohio Department of Transportation says they are ready for the official start of the snow and ice season this weekend.

They have spent weeks getting ready to make sure you stay safe on the roads.

ODOT says, starting at noon on Saturday, 40 crews will be staffed in Cuyahoga County; eleven crews in Lake County; and Geauga County will be ready as well.

Sixty-two trucks will salt and clear any possible snow that may accumulate on the roadways throughout the weekend.

It will start as rain before turning to snow.  The roads won't be treated ahead of time because of the rainfall, but the trucks will be ready to go once the snow starts.
