Whipps Ledges closed after large brush fire in Hinckley Reservation

HINCKLEY, Ohio — Whipps Ledges is closed today after a large brush fire spread through Hinckley Reservation Friday night, a Cleveland Metroparks spokesperson said.

Hinckley police said several departments assisted Friday night, as firefighters battled the blaze. They left overnight, but will return Saturday to survey the area.

Police posted on Facebook that more then 50 firefighters are helping to put out the blaze; at this time, they said, about 20-30 acres have caught fire.
