CLEVELAND – Police are investigating two robberies that took place in Cleveland’s Tremont area Monday.

Both happened shortly after 2 p.m.

A man who was working at a home on West 5th Street said two teenagers robbed him at gun point.  They took his cell phone and the $2 he had in his pocket.  They also told him not to call police or they would  hurt him.

Just a few minutes later, a woman was getting out of her car on West 5th when the teenagers rushed up to her and held her at gun point demanding money.  The suspects took her cellphone, computer and purse.  They attempted to take her car, but crashed it into a parked vehicle.

The teenagers ran off before police arrived.

Neighbors said the area is normally quiet and they are shocked this happened.

“I was really surprised,” said Ali Ahmed.  “I am glad no one was hurt. “
