7 men indicted for vandalizing RTA bus shelters with slingshots, frozen meatballs

CLEVELAND– Seven men were indicted for vandalizing RTA bus shelters throughout Cuyahoga County and doing damage at area businesses.

In June, more than 80 bus shelters in Cleveland and surrounding suburbs were vandalized. The shattered glass resulted in thousands of dollars in damage. No one was injured.

Now, investigators indicted a group of men ranging in age from 19 to 24. Their charges include felony vandalism and criminal damaging.

Court papers showed the suspects used a sling shot, marbles and even frozen meatballs.
