NORWALK, Ohio -- A heart, which was discovered in a bag in Norwalk in August, is not human.

On Friday, Norwalk police told FOX 8 News that the heart is a mammal's, possibly a pig's.

In September, police told FOX 8,  "It was August 25th about 7 pm. We got a call that some EMS personnel had found what they believed to be a human heart," said Captain Eric Hipp.

Police said the investigation is over.
