ELYRIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A massive fire destroyed an Elyria Township home early Monday morning.

The flames broke out at a home on Rosewood Street just after midnight, the Elyria Township Fire Department told Fox 8.

It took firefighters about three hours to get the fire under control.

The fire department said the man who lived in the home was on vacation.

At this point, firefighters are calling the fire suspicious.

Arson investigators are expected to return to the scene of the fire to pinpoint a cause.
