OTTAWA COUNTY- Investigators are searching for the cause of an explosion that destroyed a house and damaged several others outside Port Clinton on Friday morning.

The Ottawa County Sheriff says it's a miracle that the two people inside the house, identified as Joyce Grau and her brother Larry Grau, survived the blast that leveled their home on East Harbor Road.

Investigators say Joyce and Larry Grau were pulled from the burning debris by witnesses and were later taken to Toledo St. Vincent Hospital, where they are currently being treated.

Friends say the Graus had complained about the smell of gas inside the house days before the explosion.

The official cause remains under investigation.
