His drone injury to his right pinky shouldn’t affect his pitching. He hopes to take the Indians to a commanding 3-0 lead tonight in this best of seven series.

This is a team that’s powering through no matter the challenges they’ve faced: Losing starts and even a freak drone injury.

Bauer brought a drone with him to a lighthearted news conference Sunday, and he briefly demonstrated how he cut his right pinkie on a propeller Thursday night. Bauer was initially supposed to pitch Saturday, but Josh Tomlin started instead and the Indians won to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Bauer is set to face Marcus Stroman tonight. The Blue Jays have managed only one run through the first two games of the series, failing to take advantage of the Indians’ injury-riddled rotation.

At a news conference in Toronto Sunday, Manager Terry Francona also talked about clean-up hitter Mike Napoli — presence that he is on the team even when he’s not hitting and how dangerous he can be.

“You can see his face after a win. You could never tell if he has three hits or no hits after a win. That’s all he cares about,” said Francona.
