ROCKY RIVER, Ohio– A community is coming together to raise money for two high school students who were badly injured in a car accident earlier this year.

Magnificat High School in Rocky River is hosting a “Bounce It For the Barrs” pasta dinner on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with a mass at 4:30 p.m.

Sophie Barr, 17, and Sierra Barr, 16, both require long-term care and rehabilitation following the Sept. 10 single-car accident. The sisters suffered traumatic brain injuries.

“The prayers of both the Magnificat community and the Cleveland community have been a blessing to our family and we appreciate the opportunity to share our story with others,” said Tina Barr, the girls’ mother.

Donations for the family can also be made at Key Bank locations.
