Cavs’ Larry O’Brien trophy making photo op tour across Ohio
CANTON, Ohio– Cleveland Cavaliers fans will have a few chances to snap a photo with the Larry O’Brien trophy.
The iconic NBA Championship trophy is going on tour, making stops in Canton, Akron, Youngstown, Columbus and Cleveland. It’s all leading up to the Cavs first home game of the season on Oct. 25 against the New York Knicks.
“We are happy to celebrate winning an NBA Championship with Cavs fans across the state of Ohio who have been loyal supporters of the Wine & Gold throughout this journey,” said Cavaliers CEO Len Komoroski in a news release on Monday. “Taking the Larry O’Brien trophy on a regional tour gives fans the opportunity to share in the excitement and thank them for being an important part of this special time in Cavaliers history.”
Fans must use their own camera and the photo op is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
