Akron police release surveillance video of jewelry store break-in

AKRON, Ohio– The Akron Police Department is asking for help to identify the man who broke into a jewelry store this summer.

Police released the video from the break-in at Everest Family Jewelry on North Main Street on Thursday. The crime happened in the early-morning hours of July 26.

According to the department, the man stole several items before fleeing. The suspect can be seen on video attempting to cover his face with his arm.

He’s suspected of breaking into several other businesses on North Hill.


Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Rhodaback at 330-375-2490. If you see this suspect, do not approach him and immediately call 911.
